*sigh*

I realise I have been quite neglecting my blog this past week and a half or so... Much has happened since I last posted. Ok, well maybe not that much, but this past thursday I played my recital jury...and I passed :-) I had been somewhat holding my breath until then, but this means that I will be giving my senior recital as planned (Saturday, April 23rd, 7:30pm in the Organ Recital Hall) and I will definitely be graduating in less than two months time!!!! (50 days - I believe - counting today)

As you can well imagine, I've breathed a huge sigh of relief thursday morning once I was finished and turned in my recital request form. In fact, I proceeded to take the next twenty-four hours off from any kind of work, and instead I read books, watched three movies, worked some crossword puzzles, played some computer games, and slept :-)

I can't remember the last time I let myself breathe like I have been for the past two days.

Ok, so I haven't been able to figure out how to get more than one picture loaded to a single post... so, as you can see, I've just had to make do by posting three times in a row and only writing in one of them.

I just finished my first day back to school after my final spring break as an undergrad. Yes, I am definitely ready to get out of here. The National Symphony Orchestra is in residence right now in this lovely state of North Carolina, and tomorrow they will be giving a concert at War Memorial Auditorium in Greensboro. Also, on the morrow, our humble university orchestra will have a special rehearsal directed by the awesome Leonard Slatkin himself!!

I'm slightly excited (if you can't already tell...), but I'm hoping that we're going to switch back to our previous rotation instead of the current opera seating, because I really don't want to be sitting first stand...

counting down...the beginning

Well, I'm back from the SF Bay area and missing it already...spring break was too short...but it was my last as an undergraduate if all goes well :-)

Upon my return, I received a couple of letters (I assume because I'm getting two degrees), which both said EXACTLY the same thing. I have been getting duplicates of everything. You'd think the University would want to save at least the postage if not the paper. Anyhow, both letters were include random information about the commencement ceremonies and a map of the coliseum and parking...

*sigh* tomorrow it's back to the grind. I'm praying so hard that I will pass my jury on Holy Thursday. If so, only 8 weeks and a few days until graduation! I'm too tired to approximate days at this time of night... I'm recovering from post-springbreak sleep-deprivation disorder. Goodnight all -

middle of the week

Well, I've just gotten over the middle of the week hump! I'm really getting alot out of my lessons this semester. Today we touched on a couple of passages in the Walton, but we concentrated for the most part on the two shorter Rebecca Clarke pieces, "I'll bid my heart be still" and Chinese Puzzle.

As I sit here writing up this post, it occurs to me that I do not really have all that much to say tonight.

I'm extremely excited about my trip out to visit Jonathan :-) I'm not, however, very excited by the fact that I'm going to have to get up at some ungodly hour of the morning on friday (like 4am...). But I'd do anything for love...well...to a certain extent anyhow.

Tonight at CSF (Catholic Student Fellowship), we had night prayer instead of the usual evening prayer.

It's still cold!!!!!!!!!

As I was looking through my pictures just now, I came across this lovely one, taken almost two years ago when Andrea invited me to go down to the beach with her in May. It was great! I'm sure it was much warmer too. I'm tired of this silly cold weather!!! It's March already!

Anyhow, the days are just packed and flying by. I've been going all day - from French class this morning, through string pedagogy, spicy tuna sushi lunch with Sara, orchestra, meeting everyone down at the GSO offices, making the final library run before break, same with the grocery store, and then home to do homework, cook and eat dinner, and then practice. And now, here I am, at the end of my run-on sentence and writing a sentence fragment.

Somehow, I think that last paragraph ended up being quite incoherent. I apologize, but I'm leaving it in this post all the same :-)

I hope all is well in the rest of the world. The only news I have is:

- I'm going to California on Friday morning (depart GSO @ 6ish AM) for Spring Break!!! YAY!!!!
- I've decided to buy the Hill bow - I'm now in the process of coming up with the funds :-) But it will soon belong to me!!!
