In Charlotte

For the weekend, I'm here in Charlotte with Armi and Shanti, showing them around and having some fun :-) I truly intended to write a post to catch up on all the fun that happened in CA from June 7-21, while I was there...however, the time got away with me once I returned to Greensboro late last tuesday night.

I don't have much to say here, except that I have watched/seen some interesting shows/movies in the past weeks, including: Firefly, Batman Begins, Howl's Flying Castle, To Wong Fu, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, Bewitched, and Connie and Carla

All interesting to watch :-) some more than others - many are highly recommended, although Bewitched is admittedly completely fluffy. To Wong Fu and Connie and Carla are gloriously filled with people in drag :-) Very funny movies! Firefly is simply excellent as a series. Everyone should go see Serenity when it comes out this summer!

Have fun with the summertime!

YAY!!!!

Armi is finally here!!! After a long series of mishaps and boondoggles, Shanti and I finally greeted Armi as she arrived at the Raleigh/Durham airport this evening :-) :-D There's a great photo of us three and our crazy "headdresses", but I won't be able to put up a copy of it quite yet. Finally, in the meantime, we've made our way back to Greensboro (arriving back here at the house around 1:30am...) and have spent the last couple of hours getting settled and visiting!

So, I'm leaving for CA in about 6 hours (for the airport anywho...it will have been so long since I was last there...) but I can't wait to hear stories from Shanti and Armi when I get back about Armi's first weeks in the USA... There should be good ones :-) Plus, I think Armi will know everyone in Greensboro by the time I return ;-)

Joseph and Lorian are to be married on Friday, and, as I said, I'm flying out tomorrow to be there. It should be a happy time, and I wish them, as always, all peace and joy -
